The Provider Printer converts 835 and 277 EDI files into printable forms that display all the payment and claim status information.

Many providers who are capable of producing electronic claims (837) EDI files are not yet equipped to integrate the electronic payment advice (835) into their accounting system and to interpret the claim status transaction (277). They need a way to display the information contained in electronic record, so that they can enter the payment information into their system. The HIPAA Provider Printer is the tool that can do this.

Using the HIPAA Provider Printer will enable you to:

1. Open and read X12 835 and 277 files.
2. Extract all the possible information of the transaction set
3. Translate HIPAA code sets into meaningful words
4. Display payment information on a form that can be printed.
