HIPAA Suite - Administration Module

HIPAA Suite Admin is the underlying base level application of the HIPAA Suite software. Application- wide data files and parameters are controlled at this level.

This Admin module includes:

• More than 60 tables with HIPAA compliant Code Sets
• Trading Partner Setup and Maintenance
• Payee Setup and Maintenance
• System Parameters and Options

Hardware Requirements:

• HIPAAsuite runs on commercial Microsoft Window systems like 2000, XP and Server 2003. Windows 95,98,ME etc. are not supported.
• A modern Pentium PC will be sufficient, of course a powerful system will provider faster processing.
• HIPAAsuite uses an IBM UniData system.

Some facts about UniData:

• The UniData database is uniquely designed to store the nested relationships that are inherent to EDI messages. While most databases store the data in speadsheet-like, flat tables, UniData stores the data in "objects" where all the elements of data are contained under one unique id. We believe that this storage model is more suited to EDI than any normalized database.
• The UniData licenses are included with the HIPAAsuite licenses
• UniData servers can reside on Windows, Unix or Linux systems
• Communications with the server is through TCP/IP
• Depending on hardware, a UniData server can support up to thousands of clients
• Data access is availalbe through

• Dynamic file sizing guarantees a minimum of database administrative task
• Database administration through Java based front-ends
• For most applications, HIPAAsuite and UniData can reside on the same Windows NT,2000 or XP system
• For large installations, UniData is available in 64 bit systems which provide for very large data storage capabilities
